Annie Giles-Hobbs

 

 

The unique surface of prepared papers overlay the form and also become the form, figurative and symbolic images are allowed to create themselves. The breaking up and recomposing of the human and animal form creates a mixture between past and present myth and reality. The roughness of the surface asserts the presence of the artist whilst trying to compose a narrative on the human condition.
