^{_{Cardiff Portfolio 2005}}

The portfolio idea was born out of the excitement around the City of Culture competition and the Cardiff Centenary plans begun over a year ago. Members of V-6 (an artist-run exhibition and publishing group) felt it was important to make a contribution to the celebrations involving the 2005 events. In this project 6 artists have come together under a common theme (Cardiff the city).

Early group discussions developed the approach e.g. the portfolio format, image size and the plan that each artist would create a personal visual statement about the city.

As is common policy with Virtually-6, guest artists are invited to participate in publishing and exhibition ventures. In this portfolio, guests Terry Setch and Ivor Davies make unique contribution to the set of original prints on show for the fist time in this exhibition at the St. Davids Centre.

The Cardiff 2005 Portfolio is a boxed set of 6 original prints created around the theme of Cardiff the City. The prints are in an edition of 20+ artist proofs. All works have been created and proofed by the artists in traditional or mixed media methods, Print media includes, etching, drypoint, lithography, relief printing, screenprinting and digital media. All prints are signed by the artist and are for sale as boxed portfolio sets or as framed sets.
