On this page you will find a selection of the prints chosen by V-6 artists from the archive at the Newport Museum and Galleries for the project IN RESPONSE. The archive collection includes many important examples of print throughout the 20 century, including works by Picasso, Dufy and Ernst. The collection contains some of the very best examples of British work from the Grovesner School, prints by Cyril Power, Sybil Andrews and William Greengrass for instance. A selection of beautiful, lesser known work by artists such as Edwin Ladell, Julian Trevellian and John Roberts rounds out this important archive of printed images. In addition the collection illustrates a range of media from intaglio (etching processes) through lithography and on to relief printing (woodcut and lino cut) mixed media prints and screen printing.
